Paid Inclusion Tips - To use or not to use

What Is Paid Inclusion?

Paid Inclusion can be confused with "Pay Per Click", they are similar, but not the same. Owners of websites are often faced with paid inclusion or Pay Per Click for their websites. Paid Inclusion basically means that you pay a search engine to show your website on their search engine results for a period of time (Normally 1-Year). Pay Per Click is where you end up in the sponsored results and depends on how much you pay per click and also, how well you write your ad.

We just about Never use paid inclusion or pay per click, unless the owner has to have immediate results from his or her website. Normally we write and hardcode a website so there is no need for any paid inclusion or reoccurring expenses. We let the value of the website determine where it shows up on the search engines.

Paid Inclusion Facts

Here are a few things about paid inclusion we though you should know about.

  • Pay Per Click - Normally after your website has been completed and it is uploaded to the internet to a hosting company, you will need to decide how fast you would like to see results on the search engines. Many search engines have a program they have developed where you can pay for each hit you get if they add you to the inclusion side of their search engine. Here is an example the difference from pay per click to free inclusion

The Search Results on the Left is the Free Inclusion Side and the Search Results on the Right is the Pay Per Click Side. Your website could show up if you write a very good ad campaign that is relevant to the desired targeted key word and you pay enough to outbid your competition.

Pay per click charges vary depending on the popularity of the key words or phrases that you are targeting. The cost of each click on your ad could be anywhere from 5 cents to as high as anything. If you are targeting Real Estate, Stocks, Cars and so on... you will have to pay a premium price and also have an "Correctly Written Ad Campaign" and also a website to match your ad. We think it makes much more sense to hardcode a website and target the free inclusion side and get top search results.

  • Yearly Paid Inclusion - A lot of search engines have identified the fact that using Pay Per Click can be very costly. So in turn they have developed other methods of inclusion for your website. One of the most popular is A Yearly Fast Crawl With Guaranteed Inclusion. There is a charge anywhere from $25.00 per year to several hundreds of dollars. Typically they will check your website within a 48 hour period and crawl your website every 48 hours thereafter. But they are just that, A Fast Crawl and a re crawl. Paying for this service still does not ensure your website will show up at the top of the search results.

  • Hard Coding A Website - What we do, that is very different than just about every webmaster in our area is, we hard code your website so there is no need for pay per click or paid inclusion. How?
